Emma, Head Veterinary Nurse

Emma has been working in the veterinary environment since 2006. Emma’s love of animals started when she began working on a City Farm with large animals. She completed her NVQ in Animal Care, and then went on to complete her Veterinary Nursing Assistant Qualification with small animals.

She has a keen interest in patient care and loves taking care of your pets and making them feel at home.

Outside of work Emma spends her time volunteering at a charity for homeless dogs and visiting her own cats who have retired to the beach in West Sussex.

Sian: Trainee Veterinary Nurse

After leaving school Sian attended college and studied Animal Care and Animal Management. Whist at college she worked at her local veterinary surgery as a Saturday receptionist. Sian joined Mayow Veterinary Surgery in April 2013 as a student veterinary nurse.

Sian is very close to finishing her studies for her diploma in Veterinary Nursing.

Sian enjoys spending time with her family and friends and caring for her three dogs Riley, Gracie and her Mayow rescue dog, Poppy and her three cats Toffee, Treacle and Tilly.

Courteney: Veterinary Care Assistant

Courteney has been working as a Veterinary Care Assistant since 2015 alongside completing her Level 3 Extended diploma in Animal Management.

She has also been involved in many charity events - specifically for Siberian Husky Welfare.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and caring for her four Huskies; Jake, Cody, Bowie and Bear.

Courteney would love to see the world and eventually qualify as a Veterinary Nurse.

Mercedes: Receptionist/Veterinary Care Assistant

Mercedes has been working as a Veterinary Care Assistant since 2011 after completing animal management level 3. In this time she also was a supervisor on a city farm from 2012-2015.

Mercedes has mainly worked for private surgeries and Out of Hours surgery as an emergency night nurse. Mercedes has a keen interest in exotics, especially avian health. She will be starting her veterinary nurse training this September.

In her spare time she enjoys tinkering with her car's hi-fi system, horse riding and discovering the best places to eat!

You may find her in the Mayow park in the morning walking her Elkhound Storm :)
